Hospital celebrates World Breastfeeding Week

United Doctors Hospital celebrated World Breastfeeding Week on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Ben Abboud Hall of the hospital in the presence of :

Dr. Eman Elfeky, Breastfeeding Program Coordinator and Coordinator of the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI)

Dr. Manal Khorshid, Family Medicine Consultant at the Ministry of Health and International Breastfeeding Consultant

Dr. Fatima Al-Nimer, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at the hospital

Dr. Al-Shaimaa Abdul Aleem, the hospital’s dental specialist

Dr. Rasha Massad, the hospital’s therapeutic nutritionist

Women were invited and mothers who have completed six months of exclusive breastfeeding were honored.

Dr. Eman Elfeki also gave a lecture titled The First Thousand Days of Life

Dr. Manal Khorshid lectures on the value of breastfeeding

Dr. Rasha Massad on healthy nutrition for breastfeeding women

Dr. Fatima Al-Nimer lectures on safe contraception while breastfeeding

Dr. Shaimaa Abdel Aleem then gave a lecture on natural feeding and tooth decay

As part of the celebration, the teams competing for the best breastfeeding drawing were honored, and the nursery group won, followed by the nursing medical education group and the delivery room group.

They also distributed symbolic gifts to the attendees and participants
